Matthew Yglesias writes about the high cost of housing.
One thing that gets me mad about the housing situation is that rich homeowners get a taxbreak for owning a house, which is paid for by the poor people who can’t afford a house and have to rent.
I think the status quo is set up by the Christian Right to reward married people with children in the suburbs, and punish those who dare to be single or live in urban areas.
